all throughout my life, music has been my one true love. my one fallback, when nothing else could make me smile, or cry, or make me feel alive. music was it for me, my favourite drug.

and now that i actually am madly in love (with a real live human!), my love for music has fallen by the wayside. i think this year i’ve been to only seven gigs. six of those were in january, and two of them were repeat viewings. i bought tickets to two more, but didn’t attend cause work was killing me. that’s woeful, in comparison to my gig history. my personal best effort was seven gigs in 12 days, but that was back when i was young and full of energy.
