i have a theory. i have many theories, but this is my newest. we’ve all been taught that beauty lies beneath the surface, that first impressions don’t matter and other such nonsense. but i believe you can judge a book by its cover. when trying out a new pizza place, order a vegetarian as a litmus test. if they put some effort and creativity into their vegetarian pizza, you’ve found a winner. when trying out a thai restaurant, order the chicken satay sticks – they will accurately represent the quality of the rest of the menu. and when making new friends? ask them what they named their ipod. if their response is blahblah’s ipod, then, well, it’s probably not meant to be.
