stalked by chickens

after two champagne-fuelled nights, we awoke on sunday morning inspired to make pancakes. i pulled out my new donna hay cookbook and found a recipe. conveniently, i already had all the ingredients in my kitchen.
so we set about making the world’s best pancake stack. and, even better, we succeeded.
exhibit a:
we were a few pancakes into our breakfast, when all of a sudden tim started coughing and spluttering, almost choking while trying to get my attention. “bok bok bok…” i was so very confused, with no idea of what he was talking about. until i looked down at his plate.
exhibit b:
one lone, lost chicken. but what was he doing in my home? we stopped, confused, and pondered what this could possibly mean.
we slowly resumed eating our pancakes, but no more than a minute later tim stopped. and stared at my plate. i looked down, and couldn’t believe my eyes.
exhibit c:
the chickens were obviously trying to communicate with us. but what were they trying to say?
