that's awesome, stevo. i always look at those "older" people at shows with a mix of awe and confusion - i remember seeing some 60 year old couple at seafood at the annandale about 5 years ago and being so impressed.

My love of music has only grown more intense with the passage of time. The reality of work, etc. taking their bigger share of the pie and disposable time shrinking has only restrengthened my need to cram as much music into my life as possible and keep on top of new things.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be that 55-year-old guy that still goes to shows. Lucky there isn't too much a stigma associated with being that one guy - unless things change radically by then.

Andrew Bird would be written much larger if last.fm could track the CDs played. in your car. Or, more accurately, CD.

It hard work being a music nerd. If you don't count tiny shows when friends are playing, I haven't been to a show since the New Pornographers in 2006. Life gets in the way and there have been better ways to spend my time and money. That and I think that there just hasn't been anything out there that has really inspired me of late.

But, have you heard the new Brendan Canning solo album? It's pretty damn good.
